Place all the oysters in a large vessel and place a lid over and simmer the oysters until they open, approximately 10 minutes. Cook for an additional four to five minutes after the shells have opened.
Remove the oysters from the water with a slotted spoon.
Discard any oysters that did not open during the cooking process.
Inside the flesh, remove the black beard (a hair like structure) from the main body.
On the fleshy side(ie, the unopened side) lies the digestive part of the oyster just peal the fleshy side u may notice a black structure while removing it u have to be careful to notice a white transparent string like structure will come along it …. It has to be removed …. (that may cause stomach upset in some case)
Now rinse in water once before cooking(optional)
