ORANGE PEEL PICKLE





Ingredients: 


Orange peel (chopped into small pieces) -1 cup

Red chilli powder- 2 tsp

Asafoetida powder- 1/4 tsp

Fenugreek powder- 1/4 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/3 tsp

Tamarind- a small lemon size

Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp

Dried red chillies- 2

Curry leaves- a bunch

Water- little as needed 

Salt- as needed

Sesame oil- 2 tbsp


Method : 


Prepare tamarind pulp by mixing tamarind and 1/4 cup of water

Heat the oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds

When the mustard seeds splutter, add dried red chillies and curry leaves and sauté for one minute

Add turmeric powder and fenugreek powder Add orange peel and sauté for 2 minutes




Next Add red chili powder , asefetida powder,and salt into it and mix well 





( As I forgot to add curry leafs in oil I adde it now ) 







Add the tamarind pulp to it and cook until the water gets boiled well




When cooled, store in a dry and clean bottle

Serve with curd rice or plain rice
