WATERCRESS THORAN

Ingredients:

1 potatoe – cut to small cubes
1 bunche watercress leaves – washed, drained well and chopped
1 big onion – chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric pd
salt to taste
oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
2  dry red chili
1/4 tsp urad dal ( black gram)
1/4 tso cumin seeds
1/4 tsp fennel seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
1/2 grated coconut
2 flakes garlic


Method:
Boil potatoes and peal the skin and cut into cubes .
In a pan, heat a little oil. Season with mustard seeds, then urad dal ,cumin seeds, fennel seeds, red chili and curry leaves.Add onions and saute till soft.

Add turmeric powder and  well. Add potatoes and grated coconut and salt and mix well.



Add watercress  leaves and fry till dry.
