CUSTARD ICE CREAM
Ingredients for custard :
500 ml milk
4 tblspn vanilla custard powder
1.5 cup sugar Or as sweetness required
Ingredients for whipping cream :
1 cup whipping cream or heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 tblspn powdered sugar
Method:
Pour the cream in the bowl, Add the vanilla start whipping , slowly add powdered sugar continue whipping till soft and fluffy .
Take a wide heavy bottomed sauce pan. Boil milk Keep the flame on low mode.Take little hot milk in another bowl mix custard powder.Stir all until the custard dissolves. Now add this mixture into the boiling milk.
Keep stirring the mixture otherwise lumps would form. Also it might stick at the bottom. So keep stirring for about 5 mins. Once the milk starts thickening and starts cuddling . Also you will see milk skim forming on the top. Switch off the gas.
Allow the custard mixture to cool down. Once the custard comes at room temperature , whip the custard till smooth .
Now mix the whipped cream and custard together .Once it is thick.Pour the mix into freezer safe container and freeze for 3 hours.
After 3 hours take it out whip again for 3-4 min continuously and again freeze it for overnight.
Remove the container from freezer and leave at room temp for few minutes.
Then scoop and serve.
