ORANGE SPONGE CAKE
Ingredients:
Zest from 1/2 orange
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, or oil
4 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon orange essence
2 teaspoons orange juice
2 table spoon milk
1 cups cake flour
1 teaspoons baking powder
Method :
Grease the cake tin with oil and dust with flour keep aside
Pre heat the oven to 180 •c for 10 min
Start with beating eggs with orange essence till eggs gets pale , soft and till ribbon stage .
Mix orange zest and orange juice to it.
- Whisk sugar, oil/ butter and milk in a separate bowl .
- Add this to the egg mixture
- Now slowly shift the cake flour to the mixture and fold gently to mix well
- Bake at 180 •c for 35 - 40 minutes
