GREEN CHILLI CHICKEN

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 kg chicken with bone or preferred boneless 
  • Oil for shallow frying 
  • juice from 1 lime
  • 1 table spoon sesame seeds 
  • 8-9 green chilies , extra 2 slit green chiles 
  • Sliced onions few 
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 handful of fresh cilantro
  • Salt as needed 
  • Pinch of turmeric 
  • Curry leaf 
  • Freshly crushed black pepper

Method :
  1. In a food process or blender, combine all ingredients EXCEPT CHICKEN , CURRY LEAF, PEPPER, SESAME SEEDS. 
  1. Make slits over the chicken pieces.
  1. Place chicken in a zip seal bag or sealable bowl. Pour mixture on top. Marinate at least 30 minutes.
  1. Get pan warm using medium-low setting. Heat oil.
  1. Place chicken in pan and do not flip the chicken purses for first 7-8 mins.
  1. Allow the bottom to brown. Once they are almost done and just the centers are still pink, they are ready to flip over.
  1. Add slit green chillies , sliced onions ,curry leaf , freshly crushed black pepper and sesame seeds and give a good toss in high flame.
  1. Finish cooking 3-5 minutes and remove.
