ORANGE CHIFFON CAKE


INGREDIENTS

Maida flour - 2 cup

Powdered sugar -1 1/2 cup

Oil/butter -1/2 cup

Egg-4 & white of 1 egg

Baking powder- 1 tsp

Salt a pinch ( if the butter is salted avoid extra salt)

Grated orange skin - 2 table spoon

Orange juice  - 1/2 cup

Orange essence - 1 tsp




METHOD:

- mix the backing powder and salt with flour

- shift the flour 3 times

- pre heat the oven in 180 degree for 10 min

- grease the baking tray with oil and dust with flour and knock down the excess flour


- separate the egg yolk and white 

- beat the egg yolks separately






- add oil or butter and beat well 



- add in the orange essence

- add the powdered sugar continue beating





-add the grated orange remember not to grate the pale orange skin only the outer dark orange is needed 



- add the orange juice

- now slowly add the flour and turn the batter 



- mix gently 

- finally beat the white of eggs


Add rest if the powdered sugar and beat till soft peaks 



Gently mix this with the cake batter and fold 



- pour the batter into the greased baking pan



- grate over some orange skin




- tab the cake pan to release the air 

- put into the preheated oven and bake on 170 degree for 30-35 min
