NUTS CAKE



Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour/atta
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1cup sugar
2 tbl spoon milk
1/2 tsp pineapple essence(vanilla essence )
2 tbsp oil
2- eggs in room temperature
1-tbspn plain yogurt
1/4 cup powdered or chopped almonds , pistachio , cashews , and walnuts .  
Silvered almond, pistachio, cashews,and walnuts slices for the topping





METHOD:

Pre-heat the oven at 180 degree celsius. 

Sift together the flour,salt, and baking soda. Keep aside.

In a bowl, beat milk, sugar, pineapple essence, eggs and oil. Fold in the dry ingredients little at a time and mix everything well till no lumps remain. Add the ground nuts powder and mix again. 

Add in the yogurt and gently fold the batter.


Line a rectangular baking tin with butter paper or grease the tin. Pour the cake batter into the tin.


Top the cake batter with chopped nuts and bake for 35-40 minutes in 170 degree and to check the cake Insert toothpick which has to come out clean. 

Take out from the oven and let it cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Later, cool completely on a wire rack and serve. It can be refrigerated for up to 1 week in air tight containers.
