POPCORN CHICKEN
INGREDIENTS:
1"cubed chicken pieces- 250 g
Corn flour - 3 table spoon
All purpose flour - 2 table spoon
Chilli powder - 1 table spoon
Pepper powder - 1 table spoon
Onion powder - 1 table spoon
Garlic powder - 1/2 table spoon
Egg white of 2 eggs
Salt
Lime juice
Oil for deep fry
METHOD :
-Wash and pat the chicken in a kitchen towel to absorb the excess water from the chicken pieces.
-marinate the chicken pieces with 1 table spoon chilli power, 1 table spoon pepper powder , 1/2 tbl spoon lime juice and salt . Keep this aside for 1/2 an hour.
-in a wide plate add all the flour, chilli powder , pepper powder, salt and onion and garlic powder mix well .
NOTE:
- if onion and garlic powder is not available , u can home made them by making onion paste and pat them thin in a plastic sheet and sun dry for 2 or 3 days and powder it in ur mixi and store in container . same way to garlic.
- other way for instant use , u can just make fine paste of onion and 2 garlic pod and mix well with the egg white.
-now slightly beat the egg white add salt to it.
-heat the oil to medium heat.
-now roll the chicken pieces into the flour mixture and keep it inside the fridge for 10-15 min.
-take each pieces dip it into the white egg and again into the flour mixture.
-the chicken pieces should be covered with flour and dry.
-now use a colander to remove the excess flour to avoid spoiling the oil.
-now deep fry them in oil .
-while frying is half way done take them out of oil for 2 sec and again put them back into same oil and continue frying till done . this will give u more crisp to the chicken pieces.
-remove from the oil.
-if u want u can season with chat masala and serve.
-crispy popcorn chicken is ready to be served.
