ORANGE CHIFFON CAKE

IINGREDIENTS

Maida flour - 1 cup

Powdered sugar -3/4 cup

Oil/butter -1/2 cup

Egg-2 , white of 1 egg

Baking powder- 1 tsp

Salt a pinch ( if the butter is salted avoid extra salt)

Grated orange skin - 1 table spoon

Orange juice  - 1/2 cup

Orange essence - 1 tsp



METHOD:

- mix the backing powder and salt with flour( salt)

- shift the flour 3 times

- pre heat the oven in 180 degree for 10 min

- grease the baking tray with oil and dust with flour and knock down the excess flour



- separate the egg yolk and white 

- beat the 2 egg yolks 



- add oil or butter and beat well 

- add in the orange essence

- add the powdered sugar continue beating

-add the grated orange remember not to grate the pale orange skin only the outer dark orange is needed 



- add the orange juice



- now slowly add the flour and turn the batter 

- mix gently 

- finally beat the white of 1 egg along with some powdered sugar till peak add it with the cake batter

- pour the batter into the greased baking pan

- grate over some orange skin



- tab the cake pan to release the air 




- put into the preheated oven and bake on 170 degree for 30-35 min



- your orange chiffon cake is ready
