RAINBOW CAKE
Ingrediants:
Maida Flour-2 cups
Sugar-1 cup
Milk-1 cup
Oil-1 cup (little
less) or butter
Vanilla Essence-1 tsp
Strawberry drink mix-1
tsp
Pista drink mix-
1tsp
Salt –a pinch
Baking Powder
- 1 tblspn
Eggs- 4
Method:
·
Preheat the oven
to 180° C (350° F).
·
Prepare a tin by
applying oil on all sides and dusting with flour.
·
In a separate bowl
sieve flour and baking powder together. Set this aside.
·
In a mixing bowl
beat together eggs, sugar and vanilla essence till pale and light. Don't make
it fluffy.
·
Add in milk, salt,
(if it is a salted butter avoid adding salt) oil and mix well. Add in flour
mixture slowly.
·
Take 3 sections of
the batter in to separate bowls and mix strawberry flavor to one and pista flavor
to another and vanilla essence to the third one.
·
Now take the tin
and pour 1 tblspn of white batter, next in with pista batter and then the
strawberry batter repeat this step till the batter is finished.
·
Bake it in the
oven for 45-50 min or until the cake is cooked. To check whether the cake is
cooked, Insert a skewer in, if the skewer comes out clean then the cake is
done.
·
Let the cake cool
completely before removing it from the tin and slice it into wedge and serve.
