RAISIN TOPPED COOKIES & SUGAR TOPPED COOKIES
Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 1/4 cup
Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup
Butter – ½ cup (if it’s a salted butter no need for salt again)
Salt a pinch
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Baking powder - 1 tblspn
Raisins as needed

Method:
Take egg, butter, sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl. Cream it together. Add the baking powder and salt with flour and mix well to form dough.
Once mixed put it in fridge for 45 mins to 1 hour.
Now preheat the oven to 180 degree C/ 360 degree F.

Grease the baking tray with oil or butter.
Now take the dough out of fridge and shape it into small balls.
Arrange it in a baking tray.
Put each raisin in the middle of each dough balls and bake for 12 to 15 mins.
Remove it to a cooling rack and let them cool completely.
Store it in an air tight container.

Notes:
Putting the dough in the fridge is important.

Rolling the dough in sugar is an optional; it gives you a wow effect.
You can use any of your favorite jam as your toppings too.

The cookies will stay soft when you take out of oven; they will harden as they cool. Each oven varies, so keep an eye on the cookies.
