SEVAI CHICKEN BRIYANI



Ingredients:
½ kg  instant rice sevai 
250g chicken
Whole Garam masala – cardamom- 3, clove- 2, cinnamon stick- 1”,  star ani seeds- 1, fennel seeds- 1 tsp
Each 1 tbl spoon of- chilli poeder, coriander powder and turmeric powder
2 finely sliced large onion
3-4 slit green chillis
1 tbl spoon ginger garlic paste
1 tomato, chopped
2 tbl spoon curd
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tbsp oil
1 tsp ghee (optional)
1 lime juice
salt
how to do:
 Boil 6 cups of water , turn off heat and add the rice sevai along with 1/4 tsp salt. Once the sevai is cooked (it should be just soft and not mushy, pour into a colander to drain completely and and keep aside. The sevai cooks fast so watch out.

 Heat oil and ghee in a cooking vessel, add the whole garam masala’s and let them splutter.
 Add the sliced onions, green chillis and ginger garlic paste and saute for 4 mts.

 Add the chopped tomatoes and coriander leaves saute on medium heat for 4 mts.
Now add the chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
Add chicken pieces and the curd add salt . cook the chicken well , let the water from the chicken dries up…….
 Now, add the cooked sevai and and mix it lightly and see that no lumps form.
Cover with a lid and cook in low flame so that the aroma mixes well with the sevai.
 Garnish with coriander leaves. Turn off heat and serve.

Note: u can also add roasted cashews and raisin to it………
