MUTTON CURRY
Ingredients :
- Mutton:500gm
- Onion paste: 2
- Tomatoes paste: 2
- Ginger& Garlic Paste : 3 tbsp
- Oil : 5 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder: 1tsp
- Curry leaves : 6 to 8
- Coriander leaves : few ( for garnishing)
For dry mutton masala:
- DryRed Chili : 7 no'
- Dry Coriander seeds : 5 tbl spoons
- Black Pepper : 2 to 3 tbsp ( according to your spice level)
- Cinnamon stick : 1 inch
- Cloves : 3
- Bay leaves : 2
- Fennel seeds : 1 tbsp
fry the above listed spices with out adding oil for abt 3-4mins
and grind to powder.
Method :
- Heat 2 spoons of oil in a pan add onion paste sautee till the raw smell goes off.
- Add tomatoe paste and fry them all together for about 5 minutes .
- Then add the ginger & garlic paste and curry leaves.
- After the raw smell of ginger and garlic goes off, add the mutton and mix it all with salt and turmerric powder and pressure cook the mutton for 5 to 8 minutes in medium flame.
- Now add the prepared dry mutton masala, check for the salt and add half cup of water into it.
- Stir it well so that all of the ingredients mix together and close the lid of the pressure cooker.
- Pressure cook it until the whistle goes off 4 times. After that remove from heat and keep it aside.
- If the gravy is little watery leave it in a medium heat untill it becomes a bit thick in consistency and remove from heat.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves.
