GOBI PARATHA

Ingredients

for stuffing:

  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp ginger 
  • 2 cup gobi / cauliflower, grated
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • ½ tsp turmeric 
  • ½ tsp kashmiri red chili powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp coriander, finely chopped
  • for paratha dough:
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp oil or ghee
  • water as required for kneading
  • ¼ cup wheat flour for dusting
  • for roasting paratha:
  • ghee or oil as required


Instructions

gobi stuffing recipe:

  1. heat oil and saute ginger.
  2. add grated cauliflower (gobi) and saute for 5 minutes.
  3. Add finely chopped onions. 
  4. add all spices and salt. saute well.
  5. finally, add coriander leaves and keep aside.




rolling gobi paratha recipe:

  1. Roll out a medium sized ball from chapathi dough, 
  2. place a spoon of prepared stuffing in the center.
  3. Roll another chappathi of same size place it over the stuffings.
  4. sprinkle some flour and roll together.



roasting gobi parata recipe:

  1. on a hot tava place the rolled paratha and cook both sides.
  2. also add oil / ghee and press slightly.
  3. serve hot gobi parathas with sauce, raita or without side-dish too .
